About Us...

Dwy is a dynamic flute duo made up of sisters Enlli & Lleucu.

The duo specialise in a wide variety of styles, from classical to folk and from pop to musicals, creating the atmosphere best suited for whatever the occasion.

Friendly and professional, the sisters’ aim is to provide an enjoyable experience bringing a unique musical touch to any event.

Dwy have extensive experience in arranging their own music, being particularly interested in electronics. They arrange for flute, alto flute and piccolo, and their innovative collaborations give them an unique and fresh sound that will not fail to bring enjoyment.

Enlli graduated with a first class honours BMus degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Concert Recital Diploma for exceptional performance in her final recital before returning and gaining a Distinction in her Masters Degree in 2020. Following her graduation Enlli had a busy freelance schedule playing with many different orchestras including the Orchestra of The Royal Opera House, The Orchestra of Opera North, Welsh Chamber Orchestra and the British Sinfonietta. She has recently been appointed as 2nd flute at the Welsh National Opera.

Enlli is a winner of the Urdd Gobaith Cymru Bryn Terfel Scholarship and has been very grateful for the support she has received from The Arts Council of Wales, The Leverhulme Trust, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Ryan Davies Memorial Fund, The Craxton Memorial Trust, The James Pantyfedwen Foundation & The Split Infinitive Trust.

Lleucu graduated with a BMus degree in 2022 from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and then returned to commence her MMus Flute Performance degree course. Lleucu would like to acknowledge the generous support she receives from Worshipful Livery Company of Wales, Leonard & Marion Jones Distinguished Music Award, Mansel Thomas Memorial Trust and The Split Infinitive Trust, enabling her to continue her studies. Lleucu was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales on three concert tours playing flute and piccolo, and in 2021 as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the orchestra she recorded the premiere performance of Gareth Olubunmi Hughes’ Horizon One. She has toured Wales with OPRA Cymru performing the premiere of Mared Emlyn’s ‘Cyfrinach y Brenin’, and is pleased to also play with Cardiff Opera and Ignite Symphony Orchestra. She is a founder member of Arian Flute Trio. In 2016 Lleucu was chosen to compete for the Urdd Gobaith Cymru Bryn Terfel Scholarship, and the instrumental Blue Ribbon. Lleucu is woodwind tutor for Cardiff County and the Vale of Glamorgan Music Service’s High Schools Orchestra.
